A Capstone team of chemical engineering students help a local clean tech company turn waste into innovation

Since opening their doors in 2017, 2 Crows Brewing Co has been on a mission to decrease their carbon footprint. As part of that commitment, the Halifax company is now sourcing 95 per cent of its ingredients locally.

“Global warming is becoming a bigger and bigger issue and I believe that in the future If a company is not sustainable, they won’t survive,” says the senior year Dalhousie Industrial Engineering student.

Ushaan Hindolia first learned about the concept of the Iron Ring during his second year of engineering at Dalhousie University. As an international student, the ring’s deep tradition and symbolism fascinated him.
